Joy Lopez graduated with a BA and teaching credential from Vanguard University. She taught 3rd grade for several years in Orange County and was a substitute teacher for several years in various school in San Diego. She has worked at Trinity Christian since January of 2008. Joy is a Spring Valley native and she and her husband John and two grown sons. She enjoys reading and working for the Padres during the summer. Mrs. Lopez says, “I love the family atmosphere here on top of the hill! I love our PTF and how they love to bless the school with fun activities. I love the staff for wanting the best for each and every student. I love the school board for their prayer covering over the staff and families. I love the admin for their support.” Her favorite verse is Isaiah 40:8, “The grass withers and the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever.”

Mr. James McHugh

David Gamble teaches 6th, 7th and 8th grade English. He has a BA in Christian Counseling and has ten years experience as a middle school and high school teacher. Mr. Gamble is a 6th degree black belt in the Chuck Norris System. He has been at Trinity since 2023, and his life verse is Romans 8:38-39, “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

What is Serve-a-Thon?
TCS hosts an annual serve-a-thon in lieu of a jog-a-thon or other fundraiser. We raise money for the school and serve our community. (1 Peter 4:10)
