Philosophy & Curriculum

Mission Statement

“Trinity Christian School, an outreach ministry of Trinity Church, commits to a partnership with parents to inspire academic and personal excellence in a Christ-centered environment.”

Philosophy

Trinity Christian School recognizes that God created the whole child: body, soul, and spirit. We believe that the education process is dependent upon this basic philosophy in providing the right viewpoint, basic truths, principles for interpreting life, and the study of all subjects. We desire to teach that all truth is God’s truth, that Jesus Christ is central in the truth, and that the Holy Spirit is the discerner of the truth.

Trinity Christian School is accredited with ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International), preschool through eighth grade, and with WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) kindergarten through eighth grade.

Curriculum

Curriculum includes a phonics-based early reader program, integrative technology, and stimulating after school clubs. Moral character and leadership development are encouraged through chapels, student council, and a dedicated staff.

(II Timothy 2:15)

Academic Thinking and Skill Development – The student will be encouraged and motivated to use his mind to reason, think objectively, and develop a biblical worldview that prepares the him or her for the challenges of becoming a life-long learner. (Romans 12:2)

Personal Growth and Development – The student will be encouraged to recognize that he is created in God’s image and to begin to develop the skills necessary to live a life worthy of his calling. The student is encouraged to treat his body as the temple of the Holy Spirit and to demonstrate proper bodily care and conduct that fosters a Christ-like attitude towards growth and development of skills. (Romans 12:1)

Social Responsibility – The student will begin to build strong, Christ-like character by following Jesus’ example of love, concern and respect for God, country, and others. (I Timothy 4:12b)

What is Serve-a-Thon?
TCS hosts an annual serve-a-thon in lieu of a jog-a-thon or other fundraiser. We raise money for the school and serve our community. (1 Peter 4:10)
